Nashville Comes to Mule Days!!!
Hey Mule riders, it’s been nearly half a year since the successful launch of Boyd Ranch Mule Days. As fun as it was, we are working to make our 2023 Mule Days even better. We are delighted to bring you some of Nashville’s top country songwriters to entertain us. We will have a great band Thursday night for your dancing enjoyment, however, the big news is our Friday night concert. We have a real treat for you. Nashville is coming to the Boyd Ranch!
ROB HATCH, MARLA CANNON-GOODMAN and JOSH MARTIN will perform a very special Nashville Writer’s Round show for us. If you have never seen a songwriter show you will be entertained as they tell us all the stories surrounding the #1 hits you enjoy and then perform them. Rob Hatch was the 2014 Songwriter of the Year and writes for the likes of Faith Hill “Boy”, Lee Bryce “I Don’t Dance” Florida Georgia Line “Can’t Say I aint Country.” Marla Cannon-Goodman has written for Tracy Byrd “Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo”, Le Ann Womack “The Fool”, Rodney Atkins “Cleaning this Gun'” Eric Church “Can’t Take it With You’ and George Strait “I ain’t her Cowboy anymore.” We also have Josh Martin. Josh’s roots are in Eastern Kentucky and he splices country traditions with modern soul and pop inflections. He has written songs like “Cold Again”, “Hard Times in Floyd County”, and “These Walls Can Talk”.
In addition to the fantastic entertainment ,Ty Evans will be with us again to help you and your mule be better partners. He and his family will be joining us all week riding and enjoying the festivities. Chris Clark the “Packing Guru” will also be having his packing clinic again for anyone that wants to learn or refine their packing skills. We will as always have the very best riding the upper Sonoran Desert has to offer. Short rides, medium rides, long rides and our infamous ultra long Wilderness ride. For those of you that came last year and in years past, don’t worry, we rarely repeat a ride (other than Box Canyon). We will once again have great food starting with Dinner Thursday, Breakfast and Dinner Friday and Saturday and Breakfast Sunday. Don’t forget about happy hour every evening and likely a fair campfire by the pavilion.
Remember friends, all the money we make having fun on this ride goes directly to children’s outdoor programs at the ranch and ranch improvements. Just so you know y’all are responsible for us making just a stitch under $30,000 on last year’s ride, considerably more than we made in years past, so thank each one of you for coming out, having a great time and helping us raise some money for a great cause. We hope to see all of you again in March 2023, and you would be doing us a favor if you would bring some friends!
